The coral tree flourishes in Indra’s garden. In the puranas, Rukmani and Satyiabhama fight over its blossoms, and Krishna tried to take them. The Portuguese aptly called its trifoliate leaves “folhas da trindade” because they symbolise the trinity.
We were so moved by the coral tree’s vivid red blossoms that we decided to grow some of them in our yard. The trees have finally reached their full beauty. The coral tree is not only beautiful to see in full bloom in March and April, but it also attracts a wide variety of birds with its nectar-filled blossoms, making it a true zoo. It makes sense that we call our new residence The Coral Tree. Come and delight in nature with us.
